Bulalicious Goes Global To Singapore

The Bulalicious team have recently been exploring new markets to ensure Bulalicious activewear is at the cutting edge of international activewear trends.

Bulalicious proudly takes inspiration from the Pacific but we also realize that our customers want to benefit from the latest in technical fabrics and styles from around the world to help them maximize their performance when taking part in physical activity.

Our first port of call was Singapore. A country full of colour, beautiful architecture and a mixing pot of Asian culture. Singapore also has it’s own unique fashion with many local brands now making a mark on the international stage.

We took advantage of being in a country such as Singapore by putting our Bulalicious activewear through it’s paces in a slightly different climate than we find in Fiji. Our garments have been designed and manufactured to work very effectively in tropical climates where we must ensure our garments are sweat wicking against the heat, it was great to see that they were equally effective when temperatures are cooler. We always ensure that our garments are of the highest quality by putting them through strenuous testing.

We were fortunate to have a wonderful “office” during our time in Singapore, with the Peninsula Excelsior Hotel offering unbelievable views to help clear the mind when examining fabrics, brainstorming designs and sketching styles for our upcoming collections.

The Peninsula Excelsior Hotel were kind enough to provide us with an amazing fruit platter every morning which set us up for the whole day. In the Pacific we are fortunate to have some of the most delicious fruits in the world, such as pawpaw and pineapple, and although we missed our daily bu from the local markets it was great to try fruits such as the Dragonfruit.

Bulalicious was fantastically well-received in Singapore and the interest for our brand in international markets continues to grow. The world loves Fiji, and the Pacific as a whole, and this was demonstrated with the support we received for our Pacific-inspired prints and our commitment to “Clothing with a Conscience”, whereby each of our collections support prevalent causes in the Pacific.
