New Mum packs distributed at Suva CWM Hospital

 In Bulalicious Blogs

When Bulalicious launched, one of the inspirations behind the brand was to create ‘clothing with a conscience’. We determined to create collections inspired by the Pacific, we identify causes that inspire the prints and designs of each garment and once sold 10% of each sale enables Bulalicious to purchase something tangible to support each particular cause.
We are so grateful to all our loyal customers who continue to support our passion and buy our Bulalicious activewear which means we are now in a position where we can help those who are most in need of support.

In November 2015, Brittany Hazelman was crowned Miss World Fiji 2015. We were keen to partner with Brittany as part of her ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ campaign. The philanthropic nature of Miss World’s “Beauty with a Purpose’ campaign and the ideologies of Bulalicious very closely align. The collaboration saw Brittany and the Bulalicious team create a collection of active wear that was inspired by children as Brittany was keen to help the children of Suva CWM Hospital. This was our second collection and named the ‘Miss World Fiji Collection’.

We organized an ‘Art Attack’ morning and children at the Suva CWM Hospital were encouraged to take part in a series of art inspired activities from basketball printing, canvas painting and candle wax drawings. This beautiful and unique artwork was then used to inspire the prints on the final garments.
The ‘Miss World Fiji Collection’ is sold via our online store, Tappoo City in Suva and the Rejuvenation Centre, Nadi. The Collection has proved to be very popular in Fiji and with international markets and sales enabled Brittany
and the Bulalicious team to donate $500 worth of humanitarian aid in the aftermath of Cyclone Winston. More recently, we have also been able to distribute ‘New Mum Packs’ to mothers at Suva CWM Hospital.

Matron Lavenia of Suva CWM Hospital said, “We are very thankful that Bulalicious and team have come to distribute the packs to the mums”.

Brittany Hazelman commented on the experience saying, “It was a great way to use the money raised to help these new mums as they embark on the new adventure of motherhood. I am grateful that I could help the next generation in anyway possible. It was an afternoon filled with a lot of love and cuddles from the new babies in the hospital”.

The ‘New Mum Packs’ consisted of the following goodies: nappies, baby bottle, baby soap, baby oil, talcum powder, lip balm, baby hat, bib, soft toy, pacifier and baby wipes. Each pack also contained Lavish Coconut and Seaweed and Tea Tree soap generously donated by Rejuvenation Centre, Nadi.

We love bringing you new styles and new designs and we will keep pushing boundaries with each of our collections, but there is no greater reward than being able to be involved in a project such as this. Seeing the smiles of the new mums makes all the hard work worthwhile.

This project has only been made possible by everyone who has bought our products from the Miss World Fiji Collection. Not only do you look great in Bulalicious, we hope this will make you feel great too.

Vinaka Vakalevu for all your support.

The Bulalicious Team x
