Support "Clothing with a Conscience"

 In Bulalicious Blogs

Noai’a e mauri…that is how you say “Bula” or “Hello” in my native language.

My name is Hannah Bennett and I am from the island of Rotuma. Growing up in Fiji I’ve always been drawn to the ocean and its beauty. Over the last few years I’ve been striving towards a professional surfing career in which I am so fortunate to be able to represent my country in.

It is because of my surfing career and deep love for Fiji that I have collaborated with Bulalicious activewear. Our goal is to provide the essence of Fiji’s cultural influence designed to endure harsh nautical conditions. I call Cloudbreak Tavarua my home break of surfing and in order to perform in such chaotic conditions, having faith in your swim attire is crucial.

There are hundreds of active wear brands out there to chose from but the reason I was particularly drawn to Bulalicious is because they promote “clothing with a conscience”. My office is the ocean and I want to do everything possible to raise awareness about how to keep it clean.

Furthermore, Bulalicious gives 10% of its proceeds towards charitable causes. Now that’s what I call “clothing with a conscience”! After the disasters of Cyclone Winston, it was an obvious choice to support those in need. One particular place that got hit the worst during the cyclone was the island of Taveuni, rich with exotic flora and fauna.

Any guesses on what the inspiration for the first Bulalicious active swim collection might be??
